Q.1 Why should we prepare for IIT–JEE?

Q.2 Is 90% or above in XIIth a pre-requisite for clearing
IIT-JEE?
Ans. IIT-JEE exam is different from XII so the %age of XII does not confirm the success in IIT

Q.4 What is the nature of IIT Exam? How many selections are there? How is XIIth Exam different
from that of IIT?
Ans. From the year 2000 IIT conduct this Exam in two phases. In the first phase, Joint exam of
PCM is taken having a duration of 3 hrs From them, 18000 students are selected on the basis of
merit list prepared by taking combined marks of all the three subjects. After that in the second
phase, there is an exam of duration 2-2 hrs. of three subjects separately & from this approx.
4000 students are selected. In this exam, the student has to pass all the papers separately.
The marks obtained in school exams doesn’t influence the future of a student but in case of
competitive exams even the difference in one mark decide his fortune. Previous results reflect
the fact that the students having 35% marks in JEE Mains exam got selected.

Ans. IIT-JEE exam generally consists of the questions based on basic concept & subject
application. IIT has not published any sort of study material of the syllabus of IIT-JEE. In this
